Even with a drizzly start, we had a fantastic day for our 25th Annual 1k Kids fun run and 5k road race.  This year we hosted a total of 231 runners, with 53 kids in the 1k fun run and 178 runners in the 5k race. You can find your race time result on the Granite State Race Services website here.

Congratulations to Quinn Pinkham, the overall boys 1k winner finishing at 2:56, and Lucia Weiss, the overall girls 1k winner finishing at 3:39!  In the 5k race, Thomas Weiss crossed the finish line with a time of 17:53, and Jet Francis came first in the women’s division at 20:32.  Check out pictures from the day on KBIA’s facebook page!

Thanks to all the volunteers, runners, and spectators for making this such a special and fun day!

Like our course? Nicole’s Run, hosted on KBIA grounds and following our same 1K and 5K route, will be held Saturday, July 16. All funds raised will benefit Caring Unlimited domestic violence prevention programs, in memory of Kennebunk mother Nicole Oliver.
