Two weeks left of this amazing summer season at KBIA! And there is still so much to do before we close out this season. Check in at the front desk to schedule any classes your child hasn’t tried out yet. If you’re just joining us this week, we are so excited to see you! Don’t forget we have free swim, check out the KBIA store, and sign up for our last Cove Walk this Saturday. Let’s make the most of the last two weeks of summer at KBIA!

Reid Sacco Family Regatta
Thank you!
A spectacular day out on the Cove benchmarked the seventh annual Reid Sacco Family Regatta at KBIA this past Sunday. The regatta honors a lontime student and instructor of KBIA who passed away at the age of 20 of sarcoma, in 2005. Participants and spectators were treated to a beautiful day out on the water with plenty of wind to keep the races going through the afternoon. Thank you to all who showed their support!

How to Find what is Lost
Lost & Found
Items from the Lost & Found, placed in the gray bin beside Smith house, have kindly been washed by the KBIA staff, and placed in tubs on the Strong cottage porch. Any unclaimed items will be donated to charity by the end of the season. If you’re missing towels, bathing suits, sweatshirts, shirts, etc….we may have it!

Extend the gift of “summer”
KBIA is truely a unique experience, offering children the opportunity to pick and choose classes, tailoring to their specific interests. We are proud to run such an extensive variety of programs year after year – from surfing, sailing, kayaking, to reading, drama, pottery, to swim team, golfing, tennis, woodworking…and so much more…there is something for everyone. We owe these fantastic summers at KBIA to the generosity of members and donors.
Please help us keep the spirit of summer alive for children who are unable to attend KBIA without assistance. For every $500 donated to the KBIA scholarship fund, we are able to invite a child to attend KBIA for a four week scholarship! The impact of a summer spent swimming, sailing, and just “being a kid” has a lasting impression. All donations — large, small and/or online are greatly appreciated.

Membership Directory due out this fall
Our annual Membership Directory, due out in late September, makes it easy to stay in touch with your KBIA friends and family throughout the year. Our annual publication lists our trophy winners as well as the 2016 list of KBIA staff and families’ names, addresses, e-mails and phone numbers. In order for it to be as accurate as possible, please make sure the office has your latest contact information. And if you haven’t joined yet for 2016, you have until next Friday!
