We are welcoming in Week 5 of our summer programming next week, which includes the start of our swim lessons in the KBIA pool! Who will be the lucky first kiddo to jump into that clear blue water?! We are also announcing some new onsite classes, CIT projects, July awards, and more…read on for details!

As always, our weekly virtual classes and nighttime experiences will be shared to current members via email by the end of each week. Log on to the Zoom classes through the links posted in the Google Doc (updated every Thursday for the following week) and catch up on classes you missed on our KBIA Virtual Community Programming Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/KBIAvirtualcommunity/) or KBIA CIT Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/KBIACITgroup/).

And of course, if you aren’t able to participate in the daytime classes, we will have our nighttime experiences. Check out the lineup for week 5 here:

Do let us know if you have questions – we are in the office from 9am-4pm every Monday-Friday now and we can do business through the window on the porch!

Best,

Virtual ‘A Day at the Beach’ 5K
Running for Annie

Thank you to all of our 115 registered runners who helped support our Virtual Road Race this past weekend. Runners from Maine to California and up to Canada joined in the fun! With your help, we raised nearly $2,500 that will be matched by the Bauman Family for a total of $5,000 to The Dempsey Center.

This amazing donation will be made in honor of  Annie McNamara Evans, a longtime supporter of KBIA and former counselor, who recently lost her courageous battle with cancer.
The Dempsey Center provides services that can help cancer patients manage the emotional, mental and physical impact of cancer.

We are so grateful to all who contributed to a cause near and dear to our hearts. Thank you!

Join other KBIA adults at the end of the week for a virtual happy hour! With a view of the ocean, let’s all wind down and say hi – whether we’re around the corner or across the country.

For those of us in town – pick up a Watermelon Mojito ($12) from Batson River Brewing & Distilling with their own Dixie Rum!

Tell them KBIA sent you!
