It’s here! It’s here! Opening Day at KBIA!  Today, June 27th marks Opening Day of our 106th season. We are excited to welcome in new faces and welcome back old friends.  Our first week is our Membership Fee-Free Week, and we encourage you to invite your friends and family to try out classes…swimming, sailing, tennis, surfing, golf, arts & crafts, drama, and so much more!  If you haven’t already, take a peek at our website detailing all the amazing classes we offer.  Also this weekend we have Open Sail & Kayak and Family Sail available to members…keep reading for more details.

We’ll see you at the beach!

Parking, Pick-ups, and Drop-offs

Please help us keep KBIA safe for everyone and stay with your vehicles in the designated pick-up and drop-off zone in front of the pool.  It is crucial to stay within the white paint — there is no spot before and after the crosswalk to the playground to enhance visibility of kids crossing the street.

The drop-off/pick-up zone is also for emergency vehicles, so drivers must remain with their cars at all times.  Kennebunk police have and will continue to ticket both areas.  We appreciate your cooperation in helping us stay safe, and move traffic along in that busy section!

Daily Open Swim

Can’t get enough of the water now that it’s finally summer?  Us either! KBIA offers a supervised free swim session on a daily basis, Monday through Friday, June 27 to August 19.  Half-hour free-swim sessions are available for all children ages 4 and older, enrolled in other KBIA classes that week.  Join us for a splashing good time between 12 and 12:30 PM and then again between 3:30 and 4 PM

Bathrooms & Changing Rooms

When nature calls…we have bathrooms!  Two public restrooms are located behind Smith House.  If all you need is a place to change into your bathing suit, please use one of the four family-sized changing rooms located in the back of the white Adventures Tent.

It’s a whole new world at low tide, however, where snails, crabs and other creatures can be found. Come explore the majestic Cove at low tide on a guided walk during low tide and see all the natural treasures you can find!
