Hello again! It feels like just yesterday we were bidding fond farewells at the end of a fantastic summer season.  Two months into another school year and at the cusp of the holiday season, we always have KBIA at the forefront.  The boats have been tucked away, the Adventures tent rolled up, the odds and ends packed up, but we are still here planning for another memorable season.  Board members have gathered together to discuss exciting events for next summer’s calendar, the 2017 Membership Directory is in the making, and we are still accepting memberships and donations through the end of the year.

Generations of children have benefited from the continuous generosity of KBIA members and friends.  Donations fund the expansion and improvment of our programs, all the while providing the same safe, fun, beautiful, and nurturing learning environment that every child deserves.
 
Annual membership fees help support KBIA’s programs. We’re proud to be a place that lets children be children and lets them explore the vast and rugged beauty of the Coast of Maine in summer.  Children spend their time at KBIA building knowledge, leadership, and respect for themselves, others and their world. We’re particularly proud of the scholarships we offer to children in the Kennebunk area who might otherwise not be able to take advantage of our KBIA enrichment programs, and of our many other community endeavors.
 
Membership fees remain a crucial element for us to achieve operational breakeven, to allow us to provide local scholarships, and to keep the cost of classes down. 
 
All of us at KBIA thank you for your continued backing and generous contributions. We would not be able to provide exemplary programming and quality instruction without your generosity.
 
 
KBIA Land for Sale

Land donated by a long time supporter of KBIA is now for sale. The KBIA Board has looked at uses for the land over the years, and have decided that KBIA cannot effectively use it for programming as we had originally hoped.   
 
Nicely wooded 19+ acre lot, only 1.6 miles to Mother’s Beach, KBIA, Webhannet Golf and all that the Kennebunks have to offer.  At $85,900, this parcel has great potential.  Additional details on the land can be found here.  If interested, please contact Steve Brunette at [email protected] or 207-850-8990. 
 
 
#GivingTuesday KBIA

It’s never too early to start getting in the giving spirit!  This November 28th marks #GivingTuesday, a day held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and after the biggest shopping days of the year – Black Friday and Cyber Monday.  #GivingTuesday is a worldwide movement created to “inspire giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, volunteer hours, and activities that bring about real change in communities.  Last year, #GivingTuesday saw a significant increase in donations, growing from $116 million in online donations in 2015 to a whopping $177 million in 2016 (that’s a 44% increase!) 

 
We hope you will consider donating to KBIA this #GivingTuesdayKBIA…donations will go towards your choice of scholarships, facilities, and general operations.
