Week 6 is rolling in hot, and we’re just amping up the fun at the KBIA campus! We have so many activities coming up to look forward to, including sailing races, beach bonfires & movie nights, tween/teen night excursions, open sail/kayak weekends, and cove walks.

It’s not too late to sign up for classes in August …come visit the office and we can help you with schedules.  Let’s really make this a summer to remember.

AND…Stay tuned for an announcement on the Executive Director search…coming soon!

Remembering Reid

Sailors and spectators alike are invited to KBIA’s 10th annual Reid Sacco Family Regatta:

Saturday, August 3rd
12PM Skipper Meeting
12:30PM Sailing in the cove

Interested participants should register in the office to reserve a KBIA boat or bring their own boat to launch between 285 and 292 Beach Avenue. Due to the shallow nature of the cove, even at high tide, sailors should use an Opti or Laser watercraft.

A $10 suggested donation per sailor will benefit the Reid Sacco Foundation. The regatta honors a longtime KBIA student and instructor who died of sarcoma at age 20 in 2005. For information on the Reid Sacco Foundation, visit www.cancerinyoungadults.org/about-the-alliance/.

Getting in and out safely at KBIA

Please help us keep KBIA safe for everyone! Our pick-up/drop-off zone is designed for a quick in-and-out, and it is imperative that drivers stay with their vehicles at all times. In case of emergency, this is the only way in for response vehicles. Kennebunk police have and will continue to ticket. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us move traffic along in that busy section!
