KBIA offers a supervised free-swim sessions on a daily basis, Monday through Friday, June 22 to August 21. Half-hour free-swim sessions are available for ages 4+ between 12 and 12:30 PM and 3:30 to 4 PM. Free-Swim is available to children enrolled in KBIA classes.
Every Wednesday at 6 PM (weather and tide permitting), there is a KBIA family campfire and barbecue at Mother’s Beach. Bring your own hot dogs and marshmallows to enjoy with friends. The campfire is followed by an age-appropriate kid’s movie (rated G) at Smith House from 7 to 9 PM. New this year, we have added an additional Movie Night (rated PG) on Monday nights from 7 to 9 PM.) Children must pre-register on the Registration Form or at the office. Children, ages 4 -10, are welcome to join for a $7 admission fee. KBIA staff supervises the movie, and offers snacks and soft drinks for sale during intermission.
Join us on the weekend to sail or kayak! We invite members of all ages to enjoy KBIA’s spectacular waterfront during our scheduled “Open Sail” sessions, which are available to all KBIA members (parents, grandparents and children) who would like to independently enjoy the cove in one of KBIA’s sailboats or kayaks. Previous sailing and kayaking experience is required, as well as a life jacket and closed-toe water shoes.

Cove Walk – Weekend Fun for the Whole Family!
This summer join us for a Cove Walk, a great activity for families with kids of all ages. Please register at the office prior to the walk. Cost is $10 per family. The Cove Walk is open to the community, so please help us spread the word.

The Kennebunk Beach Improvement Association is a summer recreational and enrichment program for children ages 2 to 17. Now in its 110th year, KBIA is located at Mother’s Beach and offers more than 50 classes at its picturesque waterfront property, uniquely situated between the beach and the Cove at Lord’s Point.
Whether your family has spent summers here for years, or you are checking us out for the first time, we encourage everyone to experience summer here at KBIA — the way summer should be!
Classes are open to KBIA members, and membership is open to the public. This summer, membership will gain you access to virtual classes starting June 22, and select on-site classes starting July 1.
