Take charge of your summer plans

Thank you for making KBIA part of your summer plans! Summer must be on the way because Elizabeth, Ian, Christine and Jessica have heard from many of you, and they are busy, busy, busy processing all your registrations! We sign up all participants on a first-come, first-serve basis, and we have already filled some classes on certain weeks. Because we want to serve you the best way we can, we encourage you to register as soon as possible. Cheers to summer!

Lockers available
by lottery
Deadline is May 31

Leave your beach essentials at KBIA this year and forget the hassel of packing for the beach! Again this year we will be renting beach lockers for the season; cost is $300. The lockers — large enough to hold a beach umbrella, a cooler, several chairs and all the gear your kids could want — are located on the back side of the white Adventures tent. Rentals will be granted by lottery system. For consideration, contact Executive Director Martin Lodish or call the office at (207) 967-2180.

New splashes of color at KBIA

Sunrise? Paradise View? Sea View? This week we’ve been poring over paint samples in our search for the perfect beachy blue color and sunny yellows for our office and classrooms. Strong Cottage is getting a much-needed interior paint job as part of our ongoing improvement plan. We could not be more excited for some new splashes of color around KBIA!

KBIA friends will match your donation

Have your heard? We have launched a matching program for our endowment fund that helps us support KBIA scholarships. From now until the end of summer, every new $2 given to KBIA will be matched by $1, generously funded by friends of KBIA. This anonymous group has donated $41,667, so we have the potential to collectively raise $125,000. Pledges can be made now and paid by the end of the calendar year. We appreciate your donations this summer as we close out our five-year 100th Capital Campaign. Together, we have nearly reached our goal!
